explore stephanie's favorite family recipe in the latest installment of #passerbyrecipes
We recently connected with Stephanie Wu, the editor-in-chief of Eater. Stephanie shared with us her family recipe for shredded pork with preserved mustard greens, a dish that beautifully balances savory and tangy flavors.
“I’m not a big cook — left to my own devices, I much prefer to dine out and try new restaurants. But you can’t do that every day, which is why I’m grateful to be surrounded by a family that does love to spend time in the kitchen. Some years back, my family worked together to compile my grandmother’s recipes and turn them into a family cookbook. Recently, my brother and I translated and adapted the recipe for one of my favorite dishes growing up: shredded pork with preserved mustard greens. I love the crunchy, salty, tangy combination, ideally over rice or in a noodle soup, topped with some hot sauce.”
